If top quality service, design, construction and finish is what you would like for your bespoke media units then Custom Carpentry is the company for you, we are a small company and make all our fitted media units completely bespoke, there are no standard sizes, we talk to you to find out exactly what you want and make sure that we understand exactly what picture you have in mind. If you are fed up with unsightly wires at the back of TV’s and Hi FI equipment, then we can tidy this all up for you and make it look like there are no wires, we can make holes inside the units anywhere you like to thread wires through to the required section in your media unit.

We can make shelves removable so that you can access sockets easier at the back and we can make leave space behind the shelves for you to be able to pass your wires up and down inside the unit. You can even have a false back held in on strong magnets so that you don’t even see any wires at all when you open your media unit doors.

Your fitted media unit can even have have lights fitted under open shelves, and pointing towards the ceiling too, you can have drawers for CD’s and DVD’s, mesh doors to let the remote control signal through the doors, alternatively you can fit your own infrared extender if you want plain doors.

If you have 2 alcoves, and a fireplace in the middle, we can build right across the whole wall, around the fireplace, incorporate somewhere for your TV, at the front the media unit would make it look like you didn’t have varying depths, creating a more clean and streamlined look.

We can also accommodate TV projectors, make shelves suitable for your DVD and CD or record collection, you can have space for your record or cd decks at a good height to DJ, with a pull out shelf below for the mixer for example. Whatever you can imagine we can help you create it.
